Auburn Township government consists of 3 Trustees and 1 Fiscal Officer whose responsibilities are dictated by the Ohio Revised Code. The Trustees and Fiscal Officer are elected by voters to a 4 year term.

The Zoning Inspector is in the office every Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
All buildings and structures, new businesses, building additions, improvements and change of uses require a Zoning Permit. If you have a question as to whether your project requires a Zoning Permit, please contact the Zoning Office at 440-543-1660.
Business Use Permits are issued here. If you are opening a business in Auburn, stop here first. Adding a second drive on your lot? Contact the Zoning Department for your permit.

The Township relies on the resident's eyes to help maintain our road infrastructure. If a problem exists or develops, please do not hesitate to contact the Road Department or Service Garage, located at 17666 Auburn Road. The crew is usually out of the office working during the day. They will return your call if you leave a message. If it is imperative you speak to someone immediately, please call the administration office at (440) 543-7028.
Department prepares for winter:
The road crew has been taking advantage of the rainy days to ready their trucks for winter by sanding, painting and hooking up the plows to the four township trucks. The salt dome is filled to capacity (2,000 tons) insuring safe streets this winter for our residents.
