Our Government

Auburn Township is governed by a three-member Board of Trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1st. Two are elected in the year after the presidential election and one is elected in the year before it. There is also an elected township Fiscal Officer, who serves a four year term.

The Zoning Inspector is in the office every Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Zoning Messages:

All buildings and structures, new businesses, building additions, improvements and change of uses require a Zoning Permit. If you have a question as to whether your project requires a Zoning Permit, please contact the Zoning Office at 440-543-1660.

Business Use Permits are issued here. If you are opening a business in Auburn, stop here first.

The Township relies on the resident's eyes to help maintain our road infrastructure. If a problem exists or develops, please do not hesitate to contact the Road Department or Service Garage, located at 17666 Auburn Road. The crew is usually out of the office working during the day. They will return your call if you leave a message. If it is imperative you speak to someone immediately, please call the administration office at (440) 543-7028.
