09/14/2011 $40,000 AVFD Grant

Geauga County Board of Commissioners has selected the Auburn Township Fire Department renovation project as one to include in their request for funding in this year's Community Development Block Grant Formula Application. 

According to the Office of Community and Housing Partnerships, anticipated allocation for Geauga County will be $180,000.

Auburn Township has been allocated $40,000 of the grant which will help fund the renovation of existing non-compliant ADA restrooms.  Complete demolition of existing restrooms and the adjacent room will be renovated into totally compliant ADA restrooms.

The voter approved renovation/addition to the fire station  is progressing on schedule dispite mother nature.
